INAUGURATION OF AGORA YOPOUGON AND PORT-BOUËT JUST BEFORE THE AFCON !

Three days before the start of the AFCON, on January, 10th 2024, two new AGORAs were inaugurated in Abidjan : the AGORA Yopougon, the most popular and well-known district of Abidjan, and the AGORA Port-Bouët, on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

These inaugurations were attended by Mr. Adama Bictogo, President of the National Assembly and Mayor of Yopougon, Mr. Adje Silas Metch, Minister Delegate in charge of Sport and the Living Environment, Mr. N’guessan Koffi, Minister of Technical Education, Dr. Ackah Georges Sylvestre Emmou, Deputy Mayor of Port-Bouët, His Excellency Mr. Jean-Christophe Belliard, Ambassador of France to Ivory Coast, and Mr. Régis Charpentier, President of Winwin Afrique.

These AGORAs aim to promote sports and culture and raise awareness among populations about sustainable development issues. Many tournaments, events, concerts, festivals, etc., will enliven these living spaces.

With these new AGORAs, Ivorian youth will have access to an even more diverse sports offering. Indeed, the AGORA Port-Bouët site boasts beach volley, beach soccer, padel, skate park, and a 3×3 basketball arena, a new Olympic discipline. We are also proud to have the first clay tennis courts in Ivory Coasts.

After Koumassi and Abobo, there are now four AGORAs in Ivory Coasts. We won’t stop there : after Abidjan, new AGORAs will be inaugurated inland by the end of the year.

At AGORA, we move together!
