AFCON 2023 : Koumassi AGORA’s CAN Village Opens Its Doors

Amidst the excitement of the Africa Cup of Nations kicking off on Saturday, January 13, 2024, the AFCON Village at AGORA Koumassi welcomed visitors on Friday, January 12, 2024, creating an extraordinary atmosphere for the local community.

Located in the heart of Koumassi municipality, the “AFCON Village AGORA” boasts state-of-the-art equipment for top-notch match viewing. Additionally, stands are available to cater to the spectators’ needs.

Jean-Louis Kouassi, a resident of the area, attended the opening and praised the initiative. “It’s a fantastic idea. This village provides us with the chance to watch the AFCON matches and brings together residents who may not have access to stadium tickets,” he remarked. Aminata Bamba, a vendor at one of the stands, expressed delight at the opening, foreseeing a boost in her business. “I’m thrilled about the AGORA Village opening. It will enhance my sales, especially since I specialize in beverages,” she said.

The AFCON Village will feature various activities such as dance contests and children’s games, enriching the overall festive atmosphere.

The opening ceremony included a performance by Ivorian rapper Didi B, captivating a crowd of distinguished guests.
